We finally did it! The day we weren't sure was ever going to happen 😂 But it finally happened - and we are so grateful.

Our New House
Our new house is a bit of a fixer-upper. It's not as frightening as some of the homes you see on HGTV where the walls are falling down and Chip and Joanna turn it from a nightmare into a farmhouse paradise, but it definitely needs some TLC. We closed on the house mid July and have had many friends and family members over to help paint, rip up carpets, install flooring and help with weeding and yard work.
The Kitchen!
I won't lie and pretend my husband is as excited about the prospects of having a big kitchen like I am. We are working on getting new appliances, painting the walls and will eventually refinish the cabinets since a full kitchen remodel is not currently in our budget. I'm hoping to have a nice space on the countertop dedicated to keep my KitchenAid mixer so I can whip up soft baked healthier chocolate chip cookies and a little kitchen table where I can sip my morning caramel macchiato.
Before/After Photos?
My favorite part of any home improvement show on HGTV (or any network for that matter...) is the before and after montage they do at the end of the episode. I may be opening up a new section on the blog for home related projects - keep your eyes peeled for those upcoming posts in the next few weeks. We hope to be moved in by the end of August 2018!
