    Sit and Chat Saturday

Happy Saturday & weekend, friends! I know it's technically Sunday (night), but sit and chat Sunday doesn't have the same effect as sit and chat Sat(urday) does. I thought I was being funny when I decided to name it that but I'm realizing that my sense of humor has really gone straight to hell.

    Saturday Flowers from Disney

This is a picture from way back in 2008 when I was on my senior trip to Disney World. It's in a cute garden area by France, if you know where that is. If you're good at math, you'll know how old I am now 🙂 I am so excited to be going back to Disney this year. I haven't been there since summer of 2012 and this vacation is way overdue.

It's June already! How did that even happen? I say this every week/month/year when I realize time passes way too quickly the older you get. One day I'll find a way to make time slow down.

For all my coastal residents - do you love the beach as much as everyone in New Jersey loves the beach? I know it isn't the cleanest/I'd much rather be in the clear waters of the Caribbean, but there's something so beautiful and peaceful about the ocean. For everyone who lives inland, where do you guys go swimming? Lakes? Pools? Serious inquiries. I'm a Jersey girl and have grown too accustomed to living half an hour from any beach.

Sometimes I need a little inspiration and motivation in my life - I'm going to download a few TED talks to listen to during my commute to work. Do you have any favorite TED talks or podcasts you love?

I met up with a few of my gal pals this weekend and it reminded me how important it is to meet up face to face with people and have real life conversations. (It also helped that we had delicious Mexican food and BYOB strawberry margaritas!) Blogging is amazing, but it can be so impersonal sometimes. I'd like to go to a blogging conference or a meetup one of these days!

What have you been up to? Will you be making cornbread French toast next weekend?! Please say yes, it's SO delicious 🙂 Until next Saturday, friends!

What a fun post! I love the idea of a sit and chat. I am not big on the beach, even though I live in San Francisco. The beaches here get so crowded that it isnt as fun. Those strawberry margaritas sound amazing by the way! Want one of those right now haha.

Thanks, Julia! Yeah I don't really like the beach when it's so crowded either, so usually I'll go early (like 8 AM) and then leave by 11 or 12 🙂 by then all the people who come from afar are just settling in their spots on the sand and I'm on my way to go home and have margaritas 😀

I'm a Jersey girl too - give me Point Pleasant Beach any time of the year. I actually love it best in the fall, when things are a little cool and we can take nice long beach walks.

I love the off season here too, it's perfect for walks. I'm not too far from Point Pleasant - but admittedly I don't go down there as much as I'd like. We're closer to Long Branch and will sometimes venture down to Ocean Grove or Avon for the beach. I do like that Point Pleasant has a boardwalk and stuff to do. Thanks for the comment, fellow Jersey girl!!

How pretty! I have been to Epcot twice since we moved to Florida…the last being for the Flower and Garden Festival. Your photo reminded me of how much I enjoyed it. Hope you get back soon.

My best friend and I are actually in the middle stages of planning a trip down there at the beginning of August. I know how hot it gets down in FL that time of year, but we're excited nonetheless. Thanks for stopping by, Karen! Have a lovely weekend 🙂

I feel the same way about the beach as you do! I would rather be on a Caribbean beach any day, but a beach anywhere would be nice! It is so peaceful to just stand next to it. It makes me happy! 🙂 the closest beach to me is 8 hours away! I go swimming in a pool almost everyday. We do go to the lake, but I like to see the bottom of what I'm getting in. So I don't get in the lake much.

Oh gosh, 8 hours is so far away!! I'm not much for swimming in a big pit of darkness either, I like to stay where I know I won't get scooped out to sea!
