Smoothies are great. Really! I always feel a little clearer after I drink one. Ate too much during the holidays? Start the next day off with a smoothie for breakfast! Had the feast of your life at a buffet? Have a one as your "dessert". Or just skip over that in repentance of your massive dinner...either works.
About 3 times a week I'll make this because I almost always have the fruit and any sort of juice on hand. It's a good recipe that you can make in a single serve blender and freeze for future use--it's just as great for drinking immediately! It's best to use frozen fruits to keep it thick and chilly.
I love adding Greek yogurt to my smoothies, for both the added protein and nutrients I would otherwise not be consuming. Since most yogurts have a very short shelf life, I've been using a simple fix that allows me to make my smoothies creamier and never waste any Greek yogurt ever again. Simply scoop out some yogurt into ice cube trays and freeze into yogurt cubes until you are ready to use them...easy as can be!
What's your favorite smoothie flavor combination?
