Save so much money by making your own Passion Tea Lemonade at home instead of going to Starbucks. This sweet and refreshing drink is the perfect drink for summer!

I like to pretend I enjoy each of the seasons equally, but there’s something special about summer that makes me appreciate it a little more than the other 3 seasons. Nothing says summer quite like beach days and sunscreen, flip flops and dresses, weekend trips out for ice cream and ALL THE ICED BEVERAGES.

If you’ve never acquainted yourself with the Passion Tea Lemonade drink at Starbucks, you are missing out! It’s such a fabulous and refreshing sip for summer. The Tazo Passion Tea is sweet from the hibiscus flowers and orange peel and has the most vibrant red/purple hue to it. I love brewing a cup of hot passion tea in the winter time as a little treat after lunch. It’s caffeine-free, but it tastes more like a fruit juice than a tea.

Switching from hot to iced tea is a fabulous thing, at least to me! I love a warm breeze and big cup full of Passion Tea Lemonade to quench my thirst. And as guilty as I am of being a coffee (and tea) snob, I sometimes can come to my senses and make a Starbucks copycat drink at home for a fraction of the price.

My wallet loves when I make a big batch of Passion Tea Lemonade at home. It’s so easy to make a big batch of passion tea and add lemonade at your discretion for single serve cups, or make a big pitcher of Passion Tea Lemonade to serve to a crowd. I can’t wait for summer barbeques so I can whip up a big pitcher of this good stuff!
There’s no use in spending $4+ on a grande of this at Starbucks when you can make it at home. Plus, you can adjust exactly how much sweetness you want by adding as little or as much lemonade as you’d like. I know Starbucks also adds a bit of sweetener to their Passion Tea Lemonade drinks, but I prefer it without the extra sweetness. If you’ve ever had passion tea on its own, you know how sweet it can be without anything added.

You could make your own homemade lemonade (I have yet to master the art of homemade lemonade) to add to these yummy drinks, or you could use your favorite bottled lemonade like I did. For around $2/bottle of lemonade and $3 or so for a box of 20 Tazo passion tea bags, you can make SO MANY servings of Passion Tea Lemonade for around the same price of one venti drink from Starbucks.

I find the passion tea to be so sweet that I used only 2 tea bags to make the tea component of this drink that serves 4. As always, you can adjust the servings and sweetness to your taste, but this is what I found worked for us!
